Bond
Security Deposit
A deposit is payable on your credit card of AUD 200.-- up to a maximum of AUD 1,100.-- dependant on car type and renting location, as security for any incidental charges. The deposit amount is immediately debited from the cardholder's bank account and is held by us until the Rental Agreement is terminated and all rental charges are cleared. If there is no new damage on the rented vehicle at the time of drop off, the deposit is released in full. Depending on your financial institution, this may take approximately 2-5 days once we have processed this refund.
Cancellation policy
Once your relocation request is accepted, a cancellation fee applies at all times and will be charged to your credit card when you cancel, or do not show up for your booking. For cancellations made more than 48hrs ahead of pickup, a cancellation fee of $25 will be applied. Late cancellations (within 48 hours of pick-up time) will be charged $50, and no-shows will be charged $100. Cancellations must be made by logging into "My Transfercar" and selecting "Cancel trip" under the booking. Please be aware that the rental operator might have a separate cancellation fee beyond Transfercar's policy.
